20 year old Raul Antonio Yescas was arrested yesterday when police say new DNA evidence allegedly tied him to an unsolved rape.

A woman reported being raped at the Paseo Nuevo Mall in Santa Barbara early last year, but the investigation went cold.

Yescas was later arrested for burglary and put on probation.

The probation department took his DNA sample this year, which investigators say connected Yescas to the rape.
