Man arrested in Buellton for allegedly possessing and transporting marijuana for sale

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Los Olivos man for possessing and transporting marijuana for sale.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says 32 year-old Robert Dommeyer was stopped for speeding on Highway 246 in Buellton, on Monday.

The deputy smelled marijuana in the vehicle and Dommeyer agreed to a search.

Investigators say they found two pounds of marijuana in individual bags for sale along with marijuana laced candy, brownies, pretzels, and other products.

Dommeyer told investigators he was legally making deliveries, but they say he was selling outside of the scope of the "Compassionate Use Act."
