Police say one man is dead after a motorcycling accident in Paso Robles.
It happened Sunday afternoon around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and Mountain Springs Road.
The Paso Robles Police Department and the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services were called out to the scene of a single vehicle traffic accident with injury.
When they arrived at the scene, officials were able to determine that the motorcyclist had failed to make a turn and struck a dirt berm. The man was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained major injuries. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Officials say they don't know if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
They are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
