The California Highway patrol says a man was driving under the influence early Monday morning, after he led police on a chase through two counties
The CHP says an off-duty officer spotted the man driving his car at more than a hundred miles per hour, just south of Buellton. Officers tried pulling the car over, but they say the man kept driving. Officers say they then used spike strips, but the suspect still kept driving.
After almost an hour, the man crashed into the center divider on San Luis Bay Drive near San Luis Obispo. He was arrested and charged with failing-to-yield in a reckless manner, and DUI.
