Man in hospital with major injuries after suspected DUI

The California Highway Patrol says a man who was drinking and driving is in the hospital with major injuries Thursday evening.

The CHP says he was found lying in front of his green pick-up truck in front of the Sweet Springs Preserve in Los Osos apparently ejected from the vehicle after he crashed his car into a tree.

Emergency crews took him to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.

He will be arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving.
