The man charged with murdering his half-brother has been found incompetent to stand trial.

A court ruled Wednesday that Brandon Henslee, 22, is not able to mentally stand trial. He was charged with murdering Tyler Hanks back in August.

In cases where the defendant is found incompetent to stand trial; they are sent to a mental health facility. Their case is suspended until they have been successfully treated.

Back in August the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department arrested Henslee after Hank was reported missing on August 26th. Hanks body was found in an open field just a mile from his house in Cambria.

Henslee was originally arrested on a parole violation while the Sheriff's Department investigated the murder.

Henslee will be back in court on January 7th for review.
