LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) - Riverside County authorities say a driver has died after intentionally smashing his RV into a restaurant in an apparent suicide.
Fifty-year-old David Dobbs of Lake Elsinore was pronounced dead after he was cut from the wreckage Thursday morning.
No one else was hurt.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise (http://bit.ly/MobpUl ) says witnesses reported seeing a recreational vehicle being driven aggressively before it made a sharp turn, ran up a driveway and smashed into Lazey J's Roadhouse in Lake Elsinore.
A coroner's statement says the crash appears to have been an intentional "suicidal gesture."
The roadhouse owner, Jerry McKeehan, says it will be two weeks before he reopens.
