The California Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 46 Friday as 26-year-old Aaron Salgado of Shandon.
Investigators say Salgado's car was rear-ended by a larger sedan as he was waiting to turn into his driveway. The impact pushed Salgado's car into the westbound lanes of the highway, where it was hit by a truck towing a trailer.
The CHP is filing vehicular manslaughter charges against 22-year-old Justin Sharp of Grover Beach. Investigators say Sharp had been driving at an unsafe speed when he rear-ended Salgado's car.
