Man living near school arrested on suspicion of drugs for sale

A San Luis Obispo man, already on probation for previous drug charges, is facing several new charges.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says detectives took Anthony Wong, 26, into custody on Tuesday after searching his home on the 1500 block of West Newport Street.

Detectives say they found 788 ecstasy tablets, approximately five grams of heroin, and a small amount of marijuana.

The total street value of the drugs is estimated at $50,000.

Wong was arrested on suspicion of possession of ecstasy for sale, possession of heroin for sale, and the sale of narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school. The home is located near C.L. Smith Elementary School.
