A San Diego man is on a mission to create a happier and healthier planet, and you might see him spreading his message along the Central Coast.
Rob Greenfield is cycling from San Francisco to San Diego as part of his Do Good Tour. On Monday, he rode through San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.
"In order to have a happy, healthy earth, we need to have happy, healthy humans so I'm doing my best to go out and inspire as many people to live healthy life styles, not only for themselves, but for their communities and for the earth as well," said Greenfield.
During his trip, he's stopping to plant flowers, hand out food to people in need, pick up trash, and even volunteer at different non-profits along the California coast.
"I focus on simple, easy things that anybody can do, whether you have money or not. The great thing about doing good is it makes you feel good, it makes the other people feel good, and in general, it's just good for the earth. A little goes a long way. I'm a big believer in the ripple effect, so today, if I make a person smile, who knows where they'll go, and who knows who they'll make smile the next day too," said Greenfield.
Rob is about halfway done with this trip, and this summer, he has plans to do an even bigger Do Good Tour. He'll cycle from Los Angeles to New York City.
