The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrested a man Sunday believed to have led deputies on a car chase one week before.
The pursuit happened on April 14th. It started on Harris Grade outside of Lompoc when a Sheriff's deputy saw a vehicle matching the description of a stolen car.
The driver sped off, leading deputies on a chase that reached speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
The pursuit ended in the Mission Hills area. Deputies say the vehicle went over an embankment and the driver ran away.
The driver was identified as Michael Ibison, 27, of Los Alamos.
On Sunday, the Sheriff's Office says a resident in the 3500 block of Highway 135 outside of Los Alamos noticed a suspicious car on her property and called authorities.
Deputies say they found Ibison and his girlfriend in the car.
Ibison faces charges of grand theft auto, felony evasion, possession of a meth pipe, possession of false license plates, and failing to register annually as a sex offender.
