Man who met girl playing online game pleads guilty to sex crimes

Santa Barbara County's District Attorney says a man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 14-year old girl pled guilty on Wednesday to multiple sex crimes.

Saul Padilla, 48, of Corona, agreed to a sentence of 20 years in state prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender.

In January of 2012, Padilla was stopped at 3:00 am in Vandenberg Village with the girl in his car. Investigators determined Padilla first came into contact with her two years earlier by posing as a 15-year old boy in the Disney online game, Club Penguin. Over the following two years, Padilla visited the girl in Lompoc, without her parents' knowledge.

Padilla is scheduled to be sentenced on May 8th.
