Central Coast community caregivers are invited to enjoy a special program designed to pamper and rejuvenate those taking care of others.

Marian Cancer Care Services is offering a free workshop called "Taking Care of You, While You Are Taking Care of Others" to honor and thank local caregivers.

"Providing care to a family member or loved one in need can be richly rewarding at times, yet considerably burdensome at other times," said Jean Steel, M.S., well-known author and wellness coach, who is leading the presentation. "Throughout the workshop attendees will learn the multiple faces of stress, why they need to be concerned about stress and ways to reduce their stress level in order to regain their zest for living. Attendees will also leave the program with a stress reduction plan."

The program will also include chair massages and a meal for all attendees.

It is being held Wednesday, September, 15 at 10 a.m. at the Marian Extended Care Center Conference Room in Santa Maria.

All attendees are asked to make a reservation because of space limitations.

To make a reservation, please call Marian Cancer Care Services at (805) 739-3780.
