The Gauchos committed 28 turnovers and shot just 35 percent from floor in a 66-38 home loss to 6th ranked Kentucky on Friday.
A'dia Mathies scored 19 points, while De Nesha Stallworth and Samarie Walker added 12 points apiece for the Wildcats. Kentucky improved to 10-1 and extended its winning streak to nine games.
UCSB fell to 4-7 overall.
Sweets Underwood and Melissa Zornig led the Gauchos with 9 points apiece. UCSB pulled down 31 rebounds to Kentucky's 30. Underwood had 12 rebounds and Kirsten Tilleman added 10 rebounds.
Mathies, a senior guard from Louisville, hit four 3-pointers, three of them in the second half, as Kentucky broke the game open after leading 28-20 at halftime.
