Los Osos golfer Matthew Hansen missed the cut by one stroke at the U.S. Amateur Championships on Tuesday. The 112th annual championship is being held at the Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado. The U.C. Davis junior-to-be was making his fourth-straight appearance in the nation's oldest amateur golf tournament.

The 20 year old started the second round on Tuesday +4 overall and in 148th place. However, Hansen fired a -1, 69 on Tuesday to sit at +3 after 36 holes. The cut line was +2.

Hansen carded 3 birdies and 2 bogeys during his second round.

Last year, the Morro Bay High graduate finished tied for 131st at +4. He finished tied for 118th place at +10 in 2010. He missed the cut by four strokes in 2010 and 2011.
