Republican candidate for Governor, Meg Whitman, will be visiting the South Coast Thursday afternoon.

She will be stopping by the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History to discuss her plan to reduce government spending in Sacramento. Her speech is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

This is the second Santa Barbara stop for a candidate for Governor this week. Democrat Jerry Brown visited UC Santa Barbara on Monday.
