Men sentenced for Lompoc murder

Two men convicted in the murder of Kenneth Sosa learned their fate.

According to Santa Barbara County Deputy District Attorney Stephen Foley, a judge sentenced Joe Gastelum to 50 years to life in prison, as well as an additional 6 years Thursday. Kristopher Blehm was sentenced to 25 years to life.

The pair was found guilty on murder charges back in August. Prosecutors said they shot Sosa to death in November of 2006. The murder happened in broad daylight on North H Street, near Lompoc High School.

Investigators say Sosa was killed because he was dating the wife of one of the defendants.
