Michigan man sentenced for sex crimes involving SLO teen

The Michigan man who traveled to the Central Coast to have sex with a San Luis Obispo teenager he met online was sentenced Wednesday morning.

Bradford Mitchell, 52, must serve two years in state prison for having sex with a 16-year-old girl. He must also register as a sex offender. Mitchell pleaded not guilty to all charges against him in December.

Mitchell was arrested Dec. 7, after police found him with the victim who had been reported missing. Investigators say the pair had been staying in a Pismo Beach hotel.
