The Mission Prep boys basketball team will have to wait until Saturday to play for a CIF title. The CIF-Southern Section office announced the basketball championship game schedule on Monday morning.

The Royals are set to play Buckley out of Sherman Oaks in the Division 5AA championship at 3:30 pm at Mater Dei High School. The 23-7 Royals are playing for a Southern Section title for the first time since 1989. Mission overcame an early 10 point deficit on Friday to upset Flintridge Prep 60-58 in the semifinals behind 22 points from Connor Woolpert.

The Arroyo Grande High boys are still in the hunt for a Division 2A title. The Eagles play at Redondo Union on Tuesday in the semifinals. The winner advances to the title game at 2pm on Saturday at the Anaheim Arena. The Eagles lost in the title game last year in Anaheim.

All Central Coast girls basketball teams have been eliminated.
