Mission Prep wins with late touchdown

Senior running back Patrick Laird rushed for 248 yards and two touchdowns including the game winner with two minutes left as Mission Prep won at St. Genevieve, 36-33. Laird had 36 rushes a week after carrying 41 times for 229 yards in a win against Rio Hondo Prep. The Royals are now 2-1 and will likely hold on to their number one ranking in the Northeast Division. St. Genevieve from Panorama City is now 1-2.

Senior Calvin Levisay had 5 receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. He also returned a kick-off 95 yards for a touchdown and had an interception. Sophomore quarterback Patrick Miller was 9-13 passing for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Mission Prep will host 1-1 St. Monica on Friday night at 7:00pm.
