Dozens of people hopped on board the annual Model Railroad Days event at the Oceano Depot this weekend.
The show draws people young and old each year. The San Luis Obispo Model Railroad Association and the Oceano Depot Association co-hosted the two-day event which features everything from miniature trains and towns, to photography and even a model train yard sale.
Organizers say it is a good way to promote the non-profit associations while upholding tradition.
"It's kind of like playing video games, except it's real stuff, it's an early version of video games I think is really what it goes back to," said Dennis Pearson, president of the SLO Model Railroad Association.
The Model Railroad and Oceano Depot Associations are always recruiting new members to revel in the railroad fun all year. You can find more information in the Newslinks section of ksby.com.
