Looking at the latest tonight, looks like the push of monsoon air from the SE will continue Friday.
The mugginess sticks with us and some of the clouds could produce a few drops of rain (especially in the upper elevations of the SB county mountains).
The larger change comes Sunday and Monday when the upper ridge collapses and a trough drops into CA from the north, this will lift the inversion layer and allow cooler air to drop into the interior valleys and high go from near 100 (above average) into the mid to upper 80s which will be below average. That cooldown doesn't last long though as more ridging develops quickly and by Wednesday inland temps return to the 90s. The Sunday-Monday cooldown will drop coastal valleys into the lower to mid 70s and beaches into the lower to mid 60s with increased onshore flow.
