More containment expected Wednesday night for Miguelito Fire

The Miguelito Fire burning in Lompoc is expected to be 80 percent contained by 7:00 Wednesday night.

The fire broke out Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of San Miguelito Canyon Road.

Firefighters say 600 acres have burned so far.

Crews from Santa Barbara County Fire, Lompoc Fire, and CAL FIRE are some of the agencies on scene, but firefighters say some resources will be demobalized around 6:00 p.m.

All evacuations were lifted by Wednesday morning and San Miguelito will reopen at 7:00 Wednesday night.

Firefighters say the estimated cost of the blaze so far is $225,000.

The cause is still under investigation.
