The number of doctors going digital has doubled since 2005.
A new study finds nearly 70% of family physicians were using electronic health records in 2011, and that number should reach 80% by the end of this year.
Doctors in some states, like North Carolina and North Dakota, appear to be making the switch at a slower pace than those in other states.
