More people are out of work in San Luis Obispo County, as well as Santa Barbara County, according to a report released today by the California Employment Development Department.
About 200 jobs were lost in Santa Barbara County in November, bringing the unemployment rate there to 8.9%. In October, the unemployment rate was 8.8%.
In San Luis Obispo County, unemployment also rose by one tenth of a percent, from 9.2% in October to 9.3% in November. Approximately 100 jobs were lost in the county.
As a whole, California's unemployment rate actually fell last month to 12.3%, from 12.5% a month earlier.
