A cold northern Pacific Ocean storm system west of the central California coast today will drop southward through the Central Coast tonight and then slide to our south early Friday morning. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will begin along the Central Coast late this afternoon spreading. Heaviest precipitation is expected between 10pm tonight and 6am Friday with showers decreasing through Friday afternoon. Gusty winds are expected for the coastal waters and higher mountain elevations behind this system Friday night and Saturday. A warming trend will occur over the weekend.
