Morro Bay City Attorney to receive nine-month's salary after leaving post

Morro Bay City Attorney Rob Schultz will receive nine-month's salary after he leaves his post Friday.

The City Council approved a Separation Agreement in a closed session Tuesday night.

Schultz's last day as City Attorney is Friday, November 15th.

According to the Separation Agreement, Schultz will receive nine-month's salary in addition to payment of his leave balances. In exchange, he leaves his post. By signing the agreement, he has resolved any disputes between him and the City regarding his employment.

"The City has hired Anne Russell as Interim City Attorney, and we are moving forward to obtain appropriate legal counsel for the future," said Mayor Jamie Irons.

Russell has been serving as Interim City Attorney since November 1st.
