The Morro Bay National Estuary Program is updating its plans to keep the area clean and healthy.
The new plan is the result of a two-year process involving input from the community and local business owners.
The Estuary Program will implement the updated plan immediately.
Some of the projects include reducing sedimentation, protecting and restoring eelgrass beds, and studying bacterial contaminants in the bay.
The Estuary Program says the updated plan focuses on new issues that were not addressed in the original Management Plan from 2001.
