Morro Bay girls lose Napa Valley Championship Game

The Morro Bay girls basketball team lost in the finals of the Napa Valley Tournament on Saturday, 52-38 to Nevada Union. The Pirates were up 18-17 at the half but got outscored 18-2 in the third quarter. Morro Bay drops to 6-3 while Nevada Union improves to 9-3. Senior post Hannah Gilbert led the Pirates with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Morro Bay hosts Nipomo (4-4) at 6:30 on Tuesday.
