It was a bargain hunter's dream in Morro Bay Saturday morning.
People took to the streets to make one person's trash their treasure for the eighth annual spring city-wide garage sale.
Several sales were even donating their cash to charity.
Organizers say the event is a community effort, even the garbage company gets involved.
It plans to make extra pickups this week for anything that is not sold.
"It's amazing, the town is just packed," said Neil Farrell, a Morro Bay resident. "People love garage sales, and to go somewhere where there's a hundred or more of them is just amazing. I mean, I'm surprised every town doesn't do this."
If you missed it Saturday the sales continue Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
