Morro Bay Police looking for person responsible for burglaries at local businesses

Morro Bay Police are looking for the person, or people, responsible for three burglaries throughout the city.

Police say someone broke into the Morro Bay Eagle's Lodge, the Shirt Shop on Front Street, and Lucia's Apothecary on the Embarcadero.

In total, about $1000 in cash was taken from the three stores.

Detectives found evidence at the Eagle's Lodge that led them to believe all three burglaries are connected.

Police say whoever was involved was probably driving a newer model, gray Ford Mustang with black racing stripes. It has a partial license plate of L885.

Morro Bay Police are also working with California State Parks officials and the Pismo Beach Police Department, looking at burglaries that happened in those areas as well. They think those burglaries might also be related.

The burglary at the Morro Bay Eagle's Lodge happened during daylight, and witnesses say they saw a Hispanic male adult, wearing all black clothing, drive away from the scene in a Mustang.

If you have any information, contact police.
