Morro Bay to hold free Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving

Morro bay will hold it's 16th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving day at the Morro Bay Community Center.

All members of the community are invited to join their neighbors and friends in this free Thanksgiving meal served by local Boy Scouts, Police Volunteers and Police Officers. Anyone not able to make to the Community Center can have their meal delivered by calling 772-6284. Do it early if you want this door-to-door service.

The meal at the Community Center starts at 1:00 p.m. and goes until 3:00 p.m. at 1001 Kennedy Drive.

Volunteers from the Police Department, Rotary Club, and the community work behind the scenes to plan the event and prepare the meals. Cash donations are accepted and those wishing to donate can call Police Administration at 772-6284 or send a check payable to "Morro Bay Thanksgiving Dinner" to the Morro Bay Police Department, 850 Morro Bay Blvd., Morro Bay, CA 93442.

This event is hosted by the Morro Bay Peace Officers' Association & Rotary Club of Morro Bay, and sponsored by Morro Bay Albertsons, Carla's Country Kitchen, Culligan Water, Mission Linen Supply, Top Dog Coffee, Cookie Crook, Miner's Ace Hardware, Dorn's Restaurant and ASAP Reprographics.
