Morrow, Fuller help undefeated AG avoid upset from Righetti

After losing its first set this season in league matches, the Arroyo Grande High girls volleyball team bounced back to beat upset-minded Righetti 3-1 on Thursday in a key Pac 7 League match.

The Eagles won 25-18, 13-25, 25-22 and 25-18 to improve to 8-0 in league play and 18-5 overall. AG started the week ranked #6 in the CIF Division 2AA Coaches poll.

Milissa Morrow led the Eagles with 22 kills, while Jade Fuller led the way with 27 digs. Alaina Hogeboom dished out 46 assists for the Eagles.

The Warriors dominated the second set behind star Brooke Butler, but the Eagles were able to get back on track to take the last two tight sets. Butler led all players with 30 kills to go with 7 digs. Maddie Klusendorf, who's kill clinched the second set, finished with 16 kills and 11 digs. Michaela Olney led the Warriors with 22 digs, while Sierra Sanchez had 31 assists.
