Motorcyclist dies on Highway 227

The California Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon after an accident on Highway 227.

It happened around 2:53 p.m. near the Via Chula Robles cross street. Officials say they don't believe any other cars were involved, and they don't have any information on what the motorcyclist hit.

Investigators are still at the scene.
