The California Highway Patrol says a man was killed in Santa Margarita Sunday afternoon after losing control of his motorcycle.
CHP says around 3 p.m., the 47-year-old man from Santa Margarita was driving his motorcycle on Pozo Road, south of Las Pilitas Road.
They say the man failed to make a sweeping left-hand curve, causing the motorcycle to leave the road.
The driver then lost control and was thrown off the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
