One man is in the hospital after the car he was driving was t-boned by a Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District bus.
At 9:56 a.m. Friday morning, Santa Barbara County fire crews, assisted by UCSB Fire and the California Highway Patrol, were called out to a report of a bus crash on Highway 217 northbound at Sand Spit Road.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20's trapped inside of his vehicle.
Crews say they used the jaws of life to free the man. He suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital. There were no injuries reported on the bus that was carrying six passengers.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
