A mudslide ruptures a sewer line in Cambria, sending raw sewage into a local creek.

San Luis Obispo County officials say it happened around 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Santa Rosa Creek.

The rupture spilled at least 1,000 gallons of sewage into the creek.

Environmental Services has posted warning signs near Moonstone Beach in Cambria until bacteria test results come back.

Officials warn people to avoid the area where the Santa Rosa Creek drains into the ocean.
