Music video produced by a local hospital is runner up in national contest

A music video produced by staff at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo about the importance of hand washing has won second place in the 3M Innovation Award contest.

The national contest highlights hospitals that are getting creative in their campaigns to raise awareness of infection prevention.

Sierra Vista's entry received more than 9,600 votes and earned the hospital a $1,000 educational grant.

Sierra Vista will use the grant money to host a free flu vaccine clinic Saturday, November 6.

It will be held in the hospital's auditorium from 9 a.m. - noon.
