After winning three of its four games last week, the Cal Poly baseball team climbed in all five of the major national polls on Monday.
The Mustangs beat Cal State Bakersfield 5-2 before taking two out of three from Hawaii in a Big West Conference weekend series.
The Mustangs are now 24-9 overall and 6-3 in conference.
Cal Poly climbed four spots to 16th in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll. The Mustangs climbed three spots to 22nd in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll. Cal Poly also re-entered Perfect Game and Baseball American polls to 23rd in the nation. Cal Poly rose two spots to 22nd in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.
The Mustangs play four home games this week starting on Tuesday at 6pm against Santa Clara. They host 4th ranked Cal State Fullerton in a conference series that starts Friday. The Titans lead the Big West by two games over the Mustangs.
