Mustangs climb to #12 in final regular season polls

The Cal Poly football team climbed to #12 in the final FCS national polls of the regular season.

The Mustangs beat Northern Arizona 42-34 to clinch a piece of the Big Sky title in their first year in the conference. Cal Poly finished the regular season 7-1 in conference and 9-2 overall.

Cal Poly climbed from 18th in The Sports Network media poll and 17th in the coaches poll. North Dakota State is the top team in both polls followed by Montana State, Old Dominion, Eastern Washington and Sam Houston State.

Cal Poly received a first round bye in the FCS playoffs and plays at Sam Houston State on Saturday, December 1 at 1 pm PST.
