Fresh off a 3-game series sweep of UC Davis to open Big West Conference play, Cal Poly baseball climbed in four of the five major national polls on Monday.
The Mustangs are off to a 20-6 overall start and 3-0 in conference action.
Cal Poly is ranked highest in the College Baseball Newspaper Poll. The Mustangs climbed from 21st to 17th in the nation this week.
They climbed are also ranked 21st in the Baseball American and USA Today/ESPN polls. The Mustangs climbed five slots to 20th in the in the National College Baseball Writers Association poll.
The Mustangs return to action Friday when they open a conference series at UCSB at 3pm.
The Mustangs took 2 of 3 in a non-conference series with the Gauchos last month, the lone loss game at UCSB.
