Mustangs top Pepperdine, 80-77

MALIBU, Calif. - A quick second half start and a balanced offensive attack earned the Cal Poly women's basketball team an 80-77 win over Pepperdine on Monday.

The victory was Cal Poly's fourth consecutive win and their first victory all season away from home.

Junior Ariana Elegado led the team with 17 points while dishing out 10 assists. Senior Molly Schlemer added 16 points while junior Taryn Garza came off the bench to score 13 points. Redshirt freshman Maddison Allen tallied a double-double with career-highs of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Cal Poly returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 18 when the team travels to Portland to take on the Pilots.
