A 1-year-old child was taken into protective custody and seven people were arrested after a month-long narcotic sales investigation in Paso Robles.
The Paso Robles Police Department says its Special Enforcement Team detectives served a search warrant in the 100 block of Pioneer Trail Drive Saturday around 7 a.m.
Police say $2,770 in cash was seized, along with $1,000 worth of black tar heroin and other drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested Aaron Charlton, 29, on suspicion of possessing heroin for sale and suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia; David Whittaker, 20, on suspicion of possessing heroin, suspicion of child endangerment, and several warrants; Chad McCullough, 28, on suspicion of possessing heroin for sale, suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia, and several warrants; Kateen Setting, 18, on suspicion of child endangerment and suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia; Justine Grogan, 26, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia; Christopher Bellamy, 31, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia; and Amanda Hutton, 21, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia.
All seven arrested are from Paso Robles.
Possession of heroin for sale, possession of heroin, and child endangerment are all considered felonies.
