Nat'l Suicide Prevention Week

This week is National Suicide Prevention Week. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States. Cuesta college is hosting events to raise awareness. There will be 1,100 black flags on display this week near the SLO campus flagpole, and on the North County campus. The flags represent the number of college age students who commit suicide each year. If you know someone who is struggling with thoughts of suicide, or if you need help yourself, there are many resources available. The SLO Suicide Hotline is available 24/7. Their number is 783-0607.
