SoCalGas officials say as many as 1000 homes and businesses have been impacted by a natural gas outage in Atascadero.
Officials say they're working around the clock to fix the problem.
They say a water main broke and entered the gas line.
The main areas affected are between Highway 41 West and Traffic Way.
Now, they're working to get the water out of the gas pipe.
A number of homes will have to have their meters replaced.
Officials are going to set up a command center on Monday. They'll be delivering a letter to every home that has been impacted.
It could be several days before the problem is fixed.
