New Chief Operating Officer plans to unite the United Way

Erica Stewart is joining the United Way as its Chief Operating Officer. Stewart has been a long-time volunteer in the San Luis Obispo Community.

She has spent the last four years with Pacific Eye as the Human Resources and Marketing Manager where she helped the practice grow to more than 10 doctors and locations.

Stewart was a graduate of Mission Community Services and Corporation's Womens' Economic Ventures entrepreneur program and later a facilitator of the program. The United Way feels that Stewart's background and experience combines perfectly with the United Way vision.

Stewart has a list of organizations she is involved with locally, including being an alumnus of Cal Poly. Stewart will take her new position at the beginning of April.
