(NECN) According to new Florida court documents obtained by New England Cable News, former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez admitted to his friend that he shot semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
The documents say Hernandez associate Carlos Ortiz told Massachusetts investigators that he, Hernandez, Ernest Wallace and Lloyd were in a car together last month heading to North Attleboro.
The car stopped, and everyone but Ortiz got out to urinate.
The documents say Ortiz told police he then heard gunshots, and then, Hernandez and Wallace got back into the car. Lloyd was not with them.
Ortiz claims Wallace told him much later that Hernandez admitted to him that he was the one who shot Lloyd.
