We're learning more about Thursday morning's deadly accident on Highway 154.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 154 in the area of Windy Gap at about midnight. That's about a half-mile south of Painted Cave Rd., north of Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara County Fire Officials say only one vehicle was involved in the crash. It apparently rolled over and suffered extensive damage, trapping one person inside the car. Fire crews say they had to extricate the person from the vehicle, but that person later died. There was one other person in the vehicle who suffered minor to moderate injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Investigators have not released the name of the victim.
