It's sure to get some tails wagging! A new dog park could be coming to Shell Beach. The proposed site is this one-acre piece of property located between Shell Beach Road and Highway 101, across the street from Beachcomber Drive.
A special meeting is scheduled Wednesday night to discuss adding the dog park. Tanya Erbstoesser, Shell Beach resident, said, "I think it would be wonderful. I think it would be great for people who would enjoy the beauty of the ocean and then let their dogs play together and not have to worry about other people being upset that they have their dogs off the leash." The Parks, Recreation and Beautification Commission will meet at 6:30 pm Wednesday night to talk about the proposal. No decision will be made and the discussion is expected to continue in April.
