The San Luis Obispo City Council reminds local residents that its newest crackdown on smoking goes into effect this Thursday, May 20.
The City Council approved a new "No Smoking" ordinance back in April. It extends the current rules on smoking in the city. Now, smoking is banned in all outdoor places where the public may be present. That includes sidewalks, parking lots, recreation areas, outdoor dining areas and within 20 feet of any enclosed area where smoking is prohibited.
